ELAC’s high-end Vertex Series III speakers represent the best the line has to offer, borrowing DNA from the company’s acclaimed VELA speakers. The IW-VJ63-L is the top of the Vertex in-wall food chain, and it pulls no punches while delivering exceptional sound. This titan uses dual woofers and four passive radiators, alongside a high-tech tweeter. It also has its own built-in enclosure to give it roughly the same acoustic performance as ELAC’s traditional box speakers. The included paintable grille sits flush with your wall, helping the speaker visually disappear.

High-quality materials and a custom crossover

The ‘VJ63-L is jam-packed with audiophile components, including a proprietary JET tweeter (ELAC’s take on Air Motion Transformer tweeters) that squeezes air between folds of a film rather than having a cone surface that vibrates. The result is lightning-fast high-frequency response and wide dynamic range. The tweeter also uses a unique deep spheroid waveguide that enhances its dispersion pattern while aiding in efficiency.

ELAC gave this speaker two woofers that can keep up with its fast tweeter. The custom-designed 6″ crystal membrane aluminum woofers handle midrange and bass frequencies, and they move quickly without losing detail. To enhance the bass response even further, ELAC gave the ‘VJ63-L four(!) 6-1/2″ passive radiators. Both The woofers and tweeter are connected to a sophisticated custom crossover network that ensures smooth transition between them.

JET Folded Air-Motion-Transformer. ELAC’s JET tweeters enthral with their lightning-fast response and wide dynamic range, offering minimal distortion and lots of headroom. A deep spheroid Waveguide is used to improve directivity control and efficiency.

Custom-designed Crystal Membrane Aluminum Woofer. ELAC’s unique Crystal Membrane woofer is extremely rigid, yet lightweight. This woofer is specifically designed to keep up with the speed of the JET Tweeter while delivering detail in low-frequency response.

Aluminum Dog Legs. Custom designed aluminum dog legs provide superior strength and ensure no vibrations when mounted in wall.

Removable painted wood baffle to conceal all hardware.
